SUMMARY:Symposium on Civil Society and Multireligious America
DESCRIPTION:In 1999, the Pluralism Project hosted two groundbreaking consultations on multireligious America, where for the first time, activists and representatives of diverse advocacy groups shared a common table. The second of these two meetings was a“Symposium on Civil Society and Multireligious America," which took a broad look at the issues of civil society. This event included a panel on public and private schools, and involved representatives from the White House, the Armed Forces Chaplains Board along with Pluralism Project affiliates and advisors.[flickr_set id=72157622509133350]

Panelist Biographies (.pdf)

Harvard Gazette Article: “Students Focus on Faith”

Symposium Schedule (.pdf)
